Hello Yellow

Houzz Ideabook of the Week

For any of you who have been reading my blog you will know that I am currently obsessed with the happy sunshiny accent colour of Yellow.

Not convinced, here’s some inspiration:

I’m only planning on using this in my master bedroom along with a moody grey and some nice crisp white. (House update: frame is up, roof going on).

So when I came across this Ideabook on Houzz this week, it had to be my Houzz Ideabook of the Week...

Enjoy!

Inspired Gratitude Love

Mmm what am I grateful for this week;

Well firstly I’m grateful for the winter, I love days where its all rainy and cold outside but your at home rugged up and all toasty warm, with a great book or a really good movie to watch or even better old SATC espisodes to watch!

And I’m also grateful for how a simple warm cup of tea makes you feel all relaxed and happy.

This week I’m also very grateful for the online community of people who I have been interacting with lately and learning new and wonderful things from everyday.

And I’m specifically grateful for:

Adventures is Manifesting and The Prosperity Game and all the wonderful people I have made a connection with through these groups.

I’m also grateful for the idea to start my own Facebook group called Inspired Gratitude Love, where I can keep a regular daily gratitude journal and all my new (and old) friends and anyone else who so feels inspired can also post their daily gratitude.

I’m grateful that everyday I move one step closer to being the person I want to be and living the life I want to live.

I’m grateful that I believe in myself enough now that I’m prepared to take action when needed to move towards my goals and that those actions are now in alignment with where I’m going and they pay off!

I’m grateful that my birthday came and went and I celebrated my birth and another year of wisdom..lol!

I’m also grateful for those in my life who support me, my blog and my beliefs.

Head over to Inspired Gratitude Love and join us with your gratitude.

My Dream House? No - Jen Aninstons LA Home on the Market

I know this news isn't exactly hot off the press, but I couldn't NOT post this house.

Jennifer Anninston‘s Beverly Hills Home is on the market for a mere $42 million, just spare change don’t you think?

But seriously if I did have a spare $42 million and an idea of a dream home this would be it, its on my vision board, so that makes it mine doesn’t it? No. Oh well I’ll show you guys anyway.

Lets start with the magnificent entry, doesn't this say "Welcome Home"

And the magnificent curb appeal, yes please

This is what you call a hallway, wide and airy with a gorgeous view to the outside

A few interior shots

Love the purple accents such a vibrant colour yet so understated

THIS is a bathroom people

An amazing view and a game of pool anyone?

And of course it comes with the pre-requisite Beverly Hills pool

And another glorious view

As seen in Architectural Digest March 2010

Absolutely love the large scale lamps flanking the bed

See the Listing from Jade Mills Estate.

Now if only I could look like this too

Houzz Idea Book of the Week

Its that time of the week again for my Houzz Idea Book of the Week. You know I love Houzz; its my go to resource for design inspiration although it is now in competition with Pinterest - my new fave inspiration site(maybe I'll need to start a Pinterest Inspiration of the week..he he).

This week I've been drawn to this post on Patios. In Australia we are really big on decks, everyone builds a deck to the back of their houses for their outdoor entertaining space and Patios are well a bit 70's. But of late I've begin to fall back in love with the humble Patio and am planning a Patio project for the back of our new house once its built (Frame going up today will post on the progress soon).

So this weeks Houzz Ideabook of the week is a little bit of Patio eyecandy and inspiration.

Enjoy!

Attitude for Gratitude #2

Time for my weekly gratitude post:

I’m grateful that my kids are still innocent enough to believe in the Easter Bunny. My 4 year old swears she spoke to him when he came Saturday night and she said “Please” and “Thankyou” and told him where to leave the eggs.

I’m grateful that if you want to work then there are opportunites out there; they may not always be exactly what you want but when it’s crunch time you can get work.

And having said the above I’m grateful I have a husband who will do anything.

I’m grateful for nature, truly I am but a little less floating cobwebs outside in the sky would be nice please.

I’m grateful for the unseasonally nice weather we are having, gorgeous clear sunny days that you can still wear short sleeves in and be comfortable. Usually turned colder by now.

I’m grateful for all the chocolate I have consumed in the past week. (And now its time to get on the diet bandwagon)

I’m grateful that I’m fairly slim by nature, a little bit of a kickstart helps every now and then.

I’m grateful my daughter reminds me of the practical everyday. Today I said to her maybe instead of going to kinder AND childcare you could just go to childcare to make it easier for mummy, her reply “but you haven’t got your photo yet!” – they are working on Mothers Day present s which is a photo of her and myself together. So practical!! Why didn’t I think of that. Lol

As for my 3 year old son I’m grateful he is so cute because he is soooo naughty!

The gift of laughter is the best gift of all

But lets be honest presents are great too.

My birthday is coming up in May and I thought I'd put a little birthday wishlist together (even though hubby doesn't read my blog - doh).

So here are a few of the things I'd love to get on my birthday:

No 1 on my list is this gorgeous POP by Sheridan bed set.
The Jiro Doona Cover and Pillows but for me in Charcoal to go with my Grey & Yellow colour scheme I'm planning for the new house.

I love the Keiko Eropean Pillows also from Sheridan POP

Also for the bedroom I'd love this full length MONGSTAD mirror from Ikea

For me:
I'm desperate for a new comfie trackie and  love these gorgeous velour trackies from Peter Alexander

And I can see myself wrapped up in one of these cosy gowns

Theres nothing better than coming home from work on a cold night and getting my pjs and gown on...  I love it!!  And some gorgeous slippers ( I actually had the same pair from Avon and wore them out in record time) So lets hope the Peter Alexander ones last longer.

Tickets for Kylie in Melbourne...yes please.

And some fun typography prints fro Etsy for the new house;

like this fun eyechart for the kids bathroom
