Let there be light

Loving the idea of using wall sconces in “the new house” – as its now lovingly known by our kids.


Definitely going to be using them in the bedroom as I love to read and would love to have the flexibility of being able to manoeuvre to light up my book , keep the space used on the bedside tables to a minimum and not keep my other half up with the main light on. I also love the way that they flank whatever is between them giving a real sense of balance and space.

The other area I will be considering them in is in the dining area, we will have open plan family, dining and kitchen and there is a blank wall behind the dining room table which will most likely be the home to my Nans sideboard that I have inherited and haven’t quite decided on what I’ll do to it yet, if anything. So a pair of sconces would probably frame that area really nice and allow me to light up whatever gets displayed on the sideboard and add some lovely mood lighting to the dining area.
